Pigeon Point Environmental Education Program
3rd Annual
Whale Watching & Tidepool 
   Exploration Day at Pigeon Point Lighthouse
 WHEN: Saturday, April 17th, 10:00AM – 4:30PM
  10:00AM Whale Watching and Lighthouse visits at Pigeon Point 
  12:30PM Lunch in the Fog Signal Building at Lighthouse
    1:30PM  Explore the Tidepools (low tide is at 4PM)
 WHERE: Pigeon Point Lighthouse, 10 miles south of Pescadero, CA, on Hwy 1.
 WHAT: We will begin with refreshments on the Oceanside deck at the lighthouse point to watch the California Gray whale migration.   Afterwards we will gather in the Fog Signal Building for lunch prepared by the dread pirate Captain Arrrr and his/her gallant crew.  After lunch we will present a short history of the lighthouse and our program, and then following a brief talk about tidepools and tidepool safety by one of ENH’s Naturalists, we will take a short walk to the tidepools just north of the lighthouse.
 DIRECTIONS:  Take Highway one to 25 miles south of Half Moon Bay, or 20 miles north of Santa Cruz to Pigeon Point Lighthouse.  Keep looking toward the ocean – you can’t miss it!
