Sometimes they were already in foster care, and I could only listen. But in every case I was able to tell them that, despite what is happening around them, despite the role they feel they have been shoved into, they have a choice in their life. They have the power to be any type of person they want to be. And there are many many great people in this truly beautiful world who are waiting to help them. And when these children suddenly feel a sense of hope, you can literally feel it, and then you know you have the greatest job in the world. It is hard to ask for money. For the past three years, and through the generosity of donors like you, we have been able to offer $70,000 in full or partial outdoor education scholarships to over 600 underserved children.
