Text Box: Text Box: Thank You to This Year’s Donors Text Box: This summer I received a wonderful DVD from Jim Broadstreet, a teacher at Highlands Elementary. Highlands is one of our original “scholarship schools’ that receive a discount because over 70% of their students are eligible for free or reduced lunch programs. Using footage he collected during their week with us last May, Jim created a great 8 minute DVD movie. The DVD captured perfectly the life-changing experiences that occur at outdoor education. I have sent copies of this DVD to several foundations. Partly as a result of this DVD, we were recently awarded a $7,500 grant from the Lesher Foundation and a $15,000 grant from the Variety Children’s Charity. This year we will provide nearly $80,000 in scholarships, and a lot of people seem to come out of nowhere to make this possible. To all of you, from all of us, Thank Text Box: You!
